The Osprey Hotell Naas, A Hotel Review...

A quick hotel review:

Hubbie and I stayed here for two nights last week. €199 for mid week two nights B&B. Thought this is a reasonable price for a hotel in these times.

Here are some pics of bedroom:

We booked a standard double room.  Room was lovely, comfortable, clean, apart for some dust on base of bedside lamp.

We also had a nice surprise when we entered the room. The hotel had left strawberries dipped in chocolate and a lovely small box of Lily O'Briens chocolates.

Shame to open,it's so pretty.

The bathroom was fabulous, very nicely designed, I thought.I don't have a good pic of the shower.

Like all hotels now a days the the bathroom products you get are not great quality, but sufficient.

The food was nice, nothing wow, but well cooked. Breakfast had all the usual.
We ate in the bar the first night. Bar menu had something for everyone and reasonable prices from about €12.
I had the Battered Cod and Hubbie had half Roast Chicken. I was happy with the Cod but Hubbies was not happy with the chicken, very little meat.

We had a couple of drinks in the bar afterwards. Very nice bar.

The second night we ate in the restaurant and had the early bird menu which was 2 courses for €24.50.

I had the steak 10oz (€5 Supplement) and Hubbie had Panfired Cod. Food was lovely, cooked beaufifuly and presented nicely.

I had the Blackberry and Apple Strudle and Hubbie had Ice-Cream,lovely.

We watched a match on one of the many tv's in the bar and in one of its many nooks and crannys.

Over all stay, was lovely, staff very efficient and friendly, good value for money, comfortable.

Visually this hotel has alot of things happening inside it. The interiors are a litlle hetic, way too much going on, however elements are lovely.

The pool was closed for maintenance on one of the days we stayed, which didnt bother us.

Would recommend it!

Penneys/Primark Sept Haul 2012

This is just a wee haul, 3 items to be exact but I thought I would share.

€8 Fleece PJ's, not very sexy but very necessary for cold nights. I got caught last year and didn't buy these in time and they were sold out.

€22(I think) Red Blazer with zip pocket detail.I trided to do a close up to show you that this blazer has lovely line detail in it and I love the buttons. I may need to take my pics with my Cannon camera for better detail. These pics were taken with my Samsung Galaxy S.

€17 (I think). This is a lovely sheer bow tie orange blouse. I love this, my favourite and a very seasonal colour. Orange along with red are my favourite colours. This is very nice with a vest underneath, dark blue skinnies or high waisted flares jeans.I bought a size 14 and it just covers the behind!

In future I will be better at keeping the tags on or the receipt so I can tell you exactly how much items were.

Book Of The Moment...

I am reading “Before I go to sleep” by SJ Watson.

In short I really am enjoying this book. I am about half way through and without giving too much away, this is a book about a woman who has amnesia and when she sleeps at night her memory is wiped blank. Every day she wakes up not knowing who she is or where she is.

It is very interesting and I feel there is a dark twist coming!! I could be wrong….oh the excitement!

I am not a literary genius by any stretch but I do love reading. I read pretty much everything. I wouldn’t be able to say what my favourite genre is but I know for sure I don’t like books that make me cry or are violent. Reading is one of my favourite things to do and I don’t want to spend my reading time crying!!

This is the author’s first novel and this author is going on my "one to watch" list.

Quick Mr. SJ Watson, write another one!!

Excuse the bookmark.

And So It Begins.....

This is my first blog post! Yes I am a newbie, full of energy and verve. I have been reading all types of blogs for such a long time that I feel I have a “blog inside me”.

Above is a dawn view from my house this morning.Sorry it's so dark. New dawn, new blog!

I love the freedom bloggers have to express themselves, their creativity, thoughts, experiences they share with the world.

I hope to experience the same…………………….
